7,000+ KB, near game breaking lag sets it...

I know there are several threads about this already, and supposedly Bethesda is going to do something about it.

I have an old 80 gb PS3. I recently went over the 7,000 KB mark, I have 3 save files. When I reached that point, my game began lagging beyond enjoyment. Cities, the wild, etc.

I've also noticed that the longer I play, the worse the gameplay overall becomes. That may be due to heat issues with my PS3.

So, just saying. Bethesda better fix something. They've screwed over PS3 users too much. Skyrim was by far the best title released by Beth on the PS3, however, it didn't take long for the problems to set in.

Skyrim had around half a million pre orders for the PS3 alone. Very impressive considering the history between PS3 users and Beth. Of course, the 360 had over a million, but that was expected.

Just hope Beth gets on a roll and fixes the problems across the board for all platforms.

The interesting part is, I'm at almost 6.5K and nothing is happening... I've deleted the Autosave files just in case the memory started adding up... try doing that... I also have a 2nd account up to 4K :L Nothin wrong so far other than the fact that I have an arrow in my head with my 2nd account that just won't disappear making 3rd person really frustrating...

Mine was running fine at that point. I will try and delete some autosaves, and see how that helps.

That isn't really that interesting. Mine was fine at that point. Mine is at 8mb now and is starting to show a few minor signs. Wait till you get to 8-10mb or so.

Well, my savegame is now past 15Mb, and I've been having more than just latency problems:

-Extreme latency and stuttering.
-Deformed textures/texture loading.
-Increased loading-times.
-Game crashing every twenty minutes.
-Unresponsive controls.
-Errors loading terrain(missing/invisible rocks or buildings).
-Problems picking up items.
-Missing sound.
-Errors with scripted events(dialogues not playing, quests not advancing, locations not registering, NPC-emotes not playing).
-Fast-traveling freezes the game.
-Big AI flaws.

So I'm struggling big-time with this game.

This doesn't deserve Game of the Year.
Only prize it deserves is Buggiest game of the Year.

I think overall it'll still be hard to beat for GOTY. Bugs asides, it's easily one of the best games in a decade in overall content.

Forgot to mention that my game is having delay issues when I push the X button on my controller. I will be talking, choose a sentence, push X three or four times before it registers.

Well in overal content, it may be worthy. But if you can't access it cause' of a big flaw, it's really just garbage. My vote does not go to Skyrim, as I've only been allowed to see 20% of the game due to Bethesda having horrible code-writers. Even though it also has its flaws, Battlefield 3 is the best game I've played this year.

And with the controls-issue.
All my actions are delayed. Even just walking forward, swinging my sword and running. It gets gradually worse... untill it's unplayable.

fixed

All platforms, the PS3 included, have more sales than that worldwide, I assure you.
