I'm about to call the BBB and see where it goes.

Post » Thu May 17, 2012 5:22 pm

It reads how it reads. Its time for someone to actually focus their anger in a constructive manner and I'm gonna go ahead and do it.
I've not said a lot about this whole fiasco but I'm totally sick of it. Never had this many problems with any game. Not had this many problems with other bethesda games.
I'm totally not going to support this crap anymore.

Will update.

For those who want action and not some lame form for bbb call this number and tell them what is going on. Enough of us do this and surely it will have an effect. 1-(703) 276-0100. Edit as I go through the process and I will post all I can post to get this off the ground.

Have fun, it's not going to accomplish anything useful or constructive.

Mayhap you could post this in the general forum -- give the disgruntled awareness of a proper path to ameliorate their concerns. At least some of them, anyways. Only a fool would take offense to this approach.

EDIT: If the BBB agrees with the consumer here, and I really see no reason why they would not, they'd be able to force a definite response from Bethesda. Not much else, but at least that. Trust me, if they feel the consumer has been wrong, no matter how minor it may be, they'll take crusade if need be.

it really wont make a difference, but can understand the frustration....simple fact is, only people that can correct this mess is bethesday..if the community, the gaming media attention and the knowledge that Xmas sales will be effected big time by this problem doesnt get them going then nothing will

But good luck to you

I'm 33. Old enough to know that if enough consumers do what is right then it is recognized and valued. Typing and complaining and flaming on a forum does nothing but perpetuate the problem. Filing a complaint with a company that has produced results is a better way for me to focus my anger as it may be for others in the same predicament. I see nothing wrong with doing what is right.

Seriously at least he's venting his frustration in a somewhat constructive manner. Or would you rather he just cried on the forums? GTFO

If you are 33 and think that calling the BBB is usefull in these situations, I'm worried.

The problem is, in a number of these cases the BBB will direct the business to correct the complaint with the filing party only. Long story short, the OP gets a refund/credit while the rest of us sit and spin like.. um, dragons flying backwards.

Like I said. If its not for you then don't reply. Its one small way that YOU the consumer can voice an opinion other than complaining to a company that has not acknowledged your concerns.

You know, instead of basking in your nescience, traipse around on BBB's page there -- mayhap look into documented complaints and their resolutions with other companies, even other gaming companies. They can - and if they feel it necessary, will - force a response.

EDIT: Cleaned up a bit.

I support you actions, OP, and I wish you luck, but Beth doesn't care about you. They have our money, millions of it in fact. Nothing is going to change that.

Not unless you can prove that the company in question is knowlingly allowing misrepresented or flawed products/services on the market. All Bethesda has to do is show that they are working to fix the problem, and the BBB can't do squat.

As I said, reporting this to the BBB will accomplish nothing useful or constructive.

Calling the BBB for this is [censored]. This is the nature of the beast. Get off it mate, stuff like this happens in software development. BBB will discard your report or best case you will get a refund, if you are lucky. In this case of the patch you will not see any action from the BBB.

I'd say you're merely just cynical enough to believe that it wouldn't. Honestly, it's the best course of action. BBB is there for a reason.

As much as I want someone to take on Bethesda, I know it won't lead anywhere. Though as Xbox users we make up a huge majority of their buyers, so if anyone has the ability to hurt Bethesda, its us.

It is exactly that mentality that allows Bethesda to perpetuate this buggy madness with every single game they release.
