M1 and M2 button problem

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 8:05 am

I know that the usual config is m1 = attack, m2 = block. So basically it's the opposite of what you see if you're right handed.
So I switched the m1 and m2 but there's a problem in equipping items. It gets switched. When I press m1 the item should go to the left hand, instead it goes to the right. The same goes to m2.
I tried restoring to defaults but it's the same.
Any ideas?

So... You raise your shield to block with the right mouse button, and you attack with you weapon with left mouse button? And this is when shield is in left hand and weapon is in right hand? Isn't that what it's supposed to be like?

Not sure if i truy understood the post though

How did you swap the mouse buttons? In the system or in the game?

what he means is that

LEFT mouse button is left hand
RIGHT mouse button is right hand!

but now clicking LEFT or RIGHT mouse in inventory its not inverted!

so left mouse button still goes to the right and right click goes to left hand

The shield is a worn item that always appears in the left hand, as far as I can see.

It's only like that for him, right? I wont have to block with my shield with Left mouse button, and attack with Right mouse button?

This is what I meant. It's very confusing to say the least.

How do you change via .ini? I can't seem to find it.

Thanks!

Im having this same issue

When i click left mouse button to equip a weapon or magic, it actually equip in the right hand instead of left. The same goes to when i click the right mouse button, as it equip in the left hand instead of right.
And this is not only in the menu. In combat when i click the left or right mouse button it actually use the opposite hand to hit (or use magic).

This needs to be fixed, so BUMP!

I had exactly the same problem - really ridiculous situation.
I thought I was the only one!

However, it is fixable, press ESC, select CONTROLS and you will have to replace M1 with M2 and vice versa for options left hand and right hand

Guys, there's a patch already. That should automatically apply itself since this a Steamworks game.
