Any good Blender 2.49 texturing tutorials?

I have been working on a sword for a week or so that I intend to put in skyrim, it is pretty much finished save for texturing. Does anyone know of any good Blender 2.49 texturing tutorials? Also what do I have to do to it to make it Skyrim compatible? I can export it as a NIF but I know Skyrim's NIFs are different than previous games.

This is what it looks like, is the blade realistic?

Let me know what you think please. I am trying to go for an old dwemer vibe with it. I will texture with a dwemer style metal and have ornate designs.

the syringe tutorial for blender is the best one out there, mainly because he calls out all of the hotkeys, so when you follow along, by the end of the set, you'll know enough about blender to model pretty much anything fairly quickly without having to navigate a bunch of mouse clicks on all the menus.

edit; your model is ok, but if you are planning on importing it through skyrim its probably needs to be no more than 300 polys. some would say even less, some would say up to 10k. You just want to get in the habit of making cheap meshes with the least amount of poly's when you are beginning.

Later you'll probably like to make super high poly models and then reduce them through various means. but for now, just focus on low poly from scratch.

And to import into the skyrim engine, you'll need to become very best friends with a program called niftools. that is an incredibly easy program to use, once you spend about 50 hours trying to figure out how it works. good luck
