Anyone else having an issues with the D-Pad in the Menu's, S

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 8:17 pm

A lot of times when I access my menu, or my favorites bar, the menu will not react to me pressing the D-pad. I know it isn;t my controller because sometime sit works perfectly, and it ALWAYS opens the favorites bar when I tap it. I have to exit out of menu and enter it again, sometimes up to 3 or 4 times, to get it to work again. A lot of times in the middle of combat...which gets annoying.

Then there's the issue with the favorites bar, along with not reading my D-pad, it does this weird thing wher eI select what I want, and it just doesn't equip when I exit the favorites menu, and I have to go back and re-equip it, because apparently the game unequipped it again as soon as I leave the menu. This usually happens in combat, and that gets ANNOYING.

Then there's this last issue, where I'll shout, I make the shouting noise, but no shout occurs, and the compass doesn't light up, but I still have to wait until I can shout again. This happens rarely, but you can imagine how annoying that can be. Beyond that, Sometimes I'll be tapping the Shoulder button to shout, and nothing will happen at all. Very rare though, but always at the worst times.

I'm Having The Same Issue W/ The Menu. I Have Three Different Controllers That Randomly Decide Not To Work When In The Menus. I Hope It Can Be Fixed.

I have noticed the same issues with the menus. If you hit the guide button on the controller it will straighten out. That can get annoying so I just got in the habit of using the left joystick to start with and it will straighten out as well.

There have been a few threads on this one… My problem seems to be with my older controller(orig xbox), I switched to my newer one(kinect) and it stopped occurring as frequently... It still occurs every once in a while, but all I have to do is go out of the menu and go back in and it works… (funny that a newer controller seems to resolve it while the texture issues seem to be occurring with the newer slim boxes)…

new controller solved this issue for me which I guess is good and bad. I suspect there's a software fix for this, but Bethesda has a long list of things to fix. not sure this will be one of them.

This is a known fix I found... Not sure if it was posted already as I only read the first post...

When you open a menu and Its not responding to D-pad movement or anolog movement simply spin the anolog in a few circles and it should work just fine... I have got into the habit of doing this alot and it does not bug me anymore.

I'm having precisaly the same issues. Man, how I hate when a weapon that was assigned to a hotkey deassaigned without reason in the middle of a battle. When I'm managing my perks and itens and the controls locks up. I rage quit for this.

Yeah, yeah. I know that. But it shouldn't be that way.

A few times when I try to interact with my companions inventory it seems like the A button is not working but I know from other games it is?
A possible connection to your issue?

+1 for having the d-pad lag, and +1 for using the anolog stick to correct it.
