Are the thalmor high elves? : V

I chose to be a high elf and I understand that there is a difference in height between 1st person to 3rd but when I measure my self up to a npc high elf(in 3d person) I'm just as tall and I'm also the most tallest compared to the rest of the races but when I meet thalmor and I measure to them there considerably tall than me. So are they a diiferent race or just scripted tall?

The Thalmor are High Elves. Which NPC have you compared your character to? If it's just one or two, it might be a bug, if you're on a PC try resetting their height (setscale 1 on them).

Maybe because he's a Bosmer, not an Altmer?

And yes, the Thalmor are all Altmer. No exceptions (it's what it has, being racist scum and all that).

The Thalmor operatives are High Elves, the barman is just a worker at their Embassy. If you're a High Elf/Altmer too, you should be as tall as the others.

Yeah I'm yellow, it's a shame I'm not as tall a them, but I play mostly in first person unless I'm roleplaying (which I don't do often)

I was under the impression that the Thalmor/Aldmeri Dominion were a joint operation of Bosmer and Altmer, but hey I've been proven wrong before, and I don't really care enough about them to really do my homework on them with that wonderful "Universal Bad Guy's who want to muck up the Cosmos".
You'd think after a few era's the Elves would have learned to get over that whole "We're not Immortal anymore, thanks a lot Lorkhan" business.

My current character is a High Elf. He's no taller than a Nord and Thalmor High Elves are considerably taller. Maybe they do it for player character animation or camera reasons.
