I've read most ladies that run shops ALL make 100g every 24 hours. Don't always believe what you read on the internet goes the saying however.

I married ysolda because she was nice... the kind of wife I would want to marry.. and she gives 100 gold per 24 hours, which adds up when you factor in the time the game wastes when you fast travel. If I need a companion, I'll hire one or use of the quest companions. I wish she'd upgrade her wardrobe though (ysolda) ... different personality types for different people though. :)

Later on though, enchanters/smithers will have no need for 100 gold per day.

Husbands (and wives) of Ysolda, UNITE!!!

Although the quest "A Night to Remember" gets a bit odd if you're married to Ysolda.

You actually have to do the Companion quests to be able to marry Aela the Huntress. Not sure being a part of them would be a problem.

I also married Ysolda. Convenent since she was near my first house anyway in Whiterun. I also wanted to update her clothing. I found some Fine Clothing in some loot and saved it to give to her, but there is no option to trade items with her.

Also in Whiterun I can sleep with her and then run right next door and use the smith while my lovers bonus is active. Smith skills just skyrocketed.

100 gold per day (which saves up if I don't collect it) and a free meal each day. Can't really complain at all, other than I would like to give her some nicer clothing. Since I'm on the PC I'm sure the mods to improve her looks (and clothing) are on their way.

Also I can still adventure with Lydia or Aela or anyone else I want.

I married the miner girl from that little village north of Riften, has the corpse of Lydia show up and ruin the ceremony though so I had to drag her to the other room and try again. I only wish you could get them to change their clothes, its stupid for her to walk around my house with a pickaxe and miners clothes when I have plenty of nice clothes to give her.

Does this miner girl give you anything specific? Like ore or anything? Im trying to figure out of characters with different "profession" or "class" give you different stuff

Dang I just read that. How does that work if you are already married to her? Seems like that would mess everything up.

I'm trying to get the girl Awean (I think) in Markarth - it's hard when the whole town hates you and you have to fight your way through the city guards to get to her temple. She's always in Communion with her god or something. It's really annoying because I can't seem to fix the issues with the city guard.

So yes I'm trying to marry a girl I've never seen :)

Lydia's ghost is not happy about your marriage.

Hmm,

This gives me a idea.

I'll just wait for the creative modder that puts a inn stripper in the game and marry her.
Her income should far surpass any mere shopkeeper.

Yah, that's the ticket.

i ceremonially positioned lydia's corpose near high hrothgar after she died from the frost troll. Placed her sword and shield on her. I went by the spot about an hour ago and her body had left and just the sword and shield remained. I just know that corpse is going to pop up on the marriage i am planning.

Damnit, I hope the dead bodies of all your companions don't show up at the wedding. Mine will look like a mass grave if they do.

I had both Lydia and Ufghen the Unbroken attend to my wedding, naked and dead.

Cockblocking at it's best.

I married the girl from the shop in Rivenwood, mainly just to spite the bard who I earlier helped scare her other suitor away by delivering a letter full of lies. Unfortunately she kept thanking me for returning the golden claw everytime I saw her, which got old fast. Then one day after I came home late from the Drunken Huntsman she had an unfortunate accident where she slipped and fell unto my sword.

If they are not a follower, no. You can add Armor and Weapons to a follower and if it is better than their default items they'll use them. I've got Lydia in a full suit of upgraded Ebony armor.

Please Bethesda, whatever you do, do NOT fix this bug. It sounds hilarious.
