Bethesda bashing will continue until.....

Post » Thu May 17, 2012 8:43 am

.....somebody with some authority apologizes.

You moderators are gonna have a tough go of it til somebody tells us whats going on. The longer Bethesda waits, the madder folks are gonna get and, unfortunately, the harsher the language will be.

Don't tell us to calm down, you need to tell them to man up and start giving their paying customers some honest answers.

i agree..... developers had no problem raking in almost half a billion from this game, but now that they broke their game with a useless patch, and in the process managed to piss off not only us xbox gamers, but from the looks of the forums, ps3 and pc users as well......... complete and utter silence. bunch of assclowns over at bethesda methinks.

Thats because most of them are Children... Or advlts who never grew up.

Even if they did apologize, people would still cry like little babies.

The level of childish behavior on these forums is staggering.

Its not so much of childish behavior than it is players whom are obviously frustrated that they cannot play the game without the experience being ruined by a game-breaking bug. Whenever I play Skyrim and walk out of towns or cities, the carcass of the last dragon I killed suddenly drops on top of me out of nowhere. A bug like this I can tolerate, in fact its quite funny when it happens. But N64-like textures and snow that seems to defy the laws of physics by having no shade or lighting reflection are bugs that I cannot tolerate no matter how much I try to force myself to deal with it.

I am sure many other players feel the same way with these new bugs popping up.

I'm amazed that people just don't get it like they were never taught proper edicate or something. You can't sell a broken item and not apologize, you can't then fix the problem making it worse than it was and not apologize, this is the real world where while it is mostly dead there is still some responsibility to be followed. What is childish to to mindlessly defend some company when they are clearly in the wrong because you like them.

One good reason:
The company will need people who complain to actually fix their product. WIthout them the company would have no means of knowing what is wrong and thus people who report bugs and their frustrations are actually beneficial and probably in the target market called cash cows so it is in the company's best interest to heed these peoples complaints so that the game can improve for everyone.

Anyway on topic yeah I believe if someone apologize said that they screwed up it would make me as a customer feel better to know the company isn't just ripping me off. I'm still going to be angry because it appears the game wasn't seriously play tested or rushed in development and this level of quality is unacceptable even in this market and no amount of money is going to buy that away (EA's solution to these sorts of problems).

When nearly every retailer on the planet has a software returns policy of not accepting opened boxes thus leaving people with only Bethesda or a consumer complaints agency to look to then you're going to get angry individuals.

In fact, the general way in which consumer disputes are handled is to contact the offending company first in order to make a good-faith attempt to have the issue resolved without third-party arbitration. Now, given the near complete silence from Bethesda here on the Official Support Forums, perhaps this isn't the best avenue for making that good-faith attempt but it doesn't and shouldn't make it a completely invalid one and especially if part of your method is to clue others in to the issues at hand.

But yeah, when you take someone's money and give them a broken product in exchange then tempers are going to flare.

Just think of what the 40-50% of console users who don't connect their systems to the internet are going through right now with 1.0.

bethesda are a bunch of ass clowns. what really gets me is the sticky at the top of this thread urging folks to download the patch and break their game further. if you want an inkling as to how bethesda feel about screwing over customers, i have two words for you: horse armor :flamethrower:

Telling people to "calm down" or "chill out" when they are already upset has an inverse effect. Off topic, but that's my 2 cents :3

I don't see any discussion of hardware/software issues happening in this thread, just speculation and insults so I'm locking it before I have to warn anyone. I get that frustrations are running high, but non-constructive rant threads and name calling don't help game issues get resolved.
