Bethesda In Hiding? What's The Response?

Post » Thu May 17, 2012 6:15 pm

What's the response? IGN just ripped you apart and exposed your broken game. Gotta eventually come out of hiding. Communicate with the community please.

This isn't going away. They're screwed unless they honestly communicate with us. I've NEVER seen IGN rip a company/game like that before.

"Uncle Todd" is hiding in a bunker deep below the Earth, and has been since Skyrim released. Which is why we haven't heard from him since then, he never shut up before Skyrim launched, now he's nowhere to be found. His Royal Highness Pete Hines will only answer questions by those who bend a knee and swear fealty to the Bethesda Empire, if you haven't sworn fealty he banishes you from the Empire by blocking you. They need to respond now, but I doubt they will, His Royal Highness will probably tweet another 140 character response, that doesn't directly address the issue.

They're arguing about who exactly is going to make a public announcement and take the kick in the nuts for the rest of them.

They're busy making the PS3 DLC for people to buy.

That's what all the PR people there are doing too, I'd imagine. They're not working in PR or community relations, they're walking around talking to eachother about how their dragons are flying backwards and their ps3 version doesn't run *quite* as well as the PC and Xbox360.

Here's the real question. Before IGN and the major gaming mags got a hold of this story the mods (and Gstaff) came on here telling us they patrol these boards every day so they can keep up with the latest feedback from the consumers. Since this onslaught of press they've gone mysteriously quiet. One of two things here: A.) They never actually read these boards like they claim they did, or. B.) (and most likely) They're ignoring us because they don't have a legitimate answer to any of the claims. Being told your product is garbage is better than coming out and admitting it.

My respond is simple. I am returning my copy to amazon ASAP. They are giving you a full refund. I am not going to support a broken game.

100% sure they tell themselves they already responded with the last moot "we're gonna make incremental fixes from time to time" announcement last week.

They're too good to communicate.

Bethesda is the Yuppie's of the gaming industry.

With all the attention this is now getting I would think they would respond very soon...but we have barley heard anything since launch except an occasional tweet (which, im sorry, is NOT a proper medium to inform your consumers through) by Pete, and the post from Gstaff.

I read somewhere about Todd saying Xbox would be the first to get a dlc and that wouldn't be for awhile, first the team is going on a long needed vacation. SO they'll deal with the issue when they get back after blowing 47 million.

What if Todd went on vacation after the release and told his team not to contact him while on vacation? This would be something to come back to, that's for sure.

Why aren't they saying anything? Even if it takes 2-3 months, just tell people the lag will be fixed. I'll play Skyward Sword til then.

OP- you know what they are doin arent you? They have to stay under the radar by purpose. Because its like in other things in life: as more time goes by, the more people will just give up their anger because of just get intrest in other things. So Bethesda will not say ANYTHING about the game-breaking problems. They will stay with the classic answers: "We are working on it" (2 weeks later "on it" becomes just a silly horse-bug or something) And in this way weeks will go by. even months.
And in a wink of an eye its like march and nobody is claiming anymore about this broken game. On the other hand: Skyrim has still "good" press and some awesome reviews- because of that they will have a TONS of sells even in the next few month.
Now think about a official statement from beth. Do you think they will say "Yaa you guys are right. We are sorry we sold you an broken thing. Sorry."?
If they do, they kill off huge sells.
Conclusion: they will never ever say something about all of this. Sad thing is sad.
