Broken Quest; Boethiah's Calling.

Quest Boethiah's Calling is broken.

I had already cleared Knifepoint Ridge earlier in the game just wondering around. So when I go back into the mine as a part of the quest there is a wall in the way at the beginning of the mine. The first left you take in the mine is now blocked by I believe it was a iron deposit. I walked out of the mine, went back in and the iron deposit is gone but there is still a wall blocking that hallway.

Anyway, svcks. Please fix.

Atleast you can get that far. I can sacrifice followers all day long at the Pillar and nothing happens. Broken quest is broken.

Oh yeah that too. Took me 3 different tries. This quest is broken all over the place.

May only be an issue if Knifepoint was previously cleared. I had no trouble with Boethiah's Calling *spoilers*, follower touched the spire and died easiily, killed the disciples, cleared out Knifepoint, equipped the Ebony mail, quest completed.

My first follower wouldnt activate the sacrifice pillar (the Lionness chick from Riften). I went back and used my housecarl from Proudspire Manor and everything was fine...the second time. The first time i fast traveled back, the cultists were fighting a dragon which landed by us and ATE my housecarl. After the second time, everything went smoothly.

Dragons seem to have a way of screwing up quests. I know during the Mage quests this happened to me a couple times if the person I was supposed to be talking to got involved in a dragon fight. It's like thier dialog resets to "generic" and you can no longer interact with them.

Just because you clear an area before you're sent there on a quest shouldn't break the quest. Am I not supposed to go to an area before I'm sent there?

I am doing the same quest and having the same problem. This won't fix it but its a way around. I play the 360 btw so I don't know if this works for the ps3 or pc. so the iron ore wall is half transparent and I can phase through it in places. So I tried jumping and rolling and attacking my way through. So as I was trying different things I launched a fire ball through a a glitched phased area of the iron ore deposit and hit the bandit on the other side who was mining some silver or corundum ore or something. she was able to walk strait through the glitched iron ore vein like a ghost or something and attacked me.
now all of a sudden the was bit of corundum ore that wasn't there before it just appeared when the bandit walked through the iron ore wall (its on the bottom left side of the iron ore deposit). so I tried mining the ore deposit and that worked. have you seen the glitch where in order to perform a animation the game will teleport you a foot to the left or right because you are standing on the wrong side of the tanning rack or ore smelter. well the animation teleported me through the iron ore wall and now it appears to have disappeared.
hope this helps some.

Er this is TES, thats precisely what should happen. Not to be an a-hole here but thats what TES is about in some respects, a big sandbox you can mess with and if your not careful, screw it up. Morrowind had I think hundreds of quests that were extremely easy to break if you or someone else killed a required NPC. Thats part of the game, a design decision if you will. There are some characters that cannot be killed in Skyrim yes, but most of these are for the main quest or are a no-no to kill (children) there are plenty that can be killed though which will have an effect on your game in some form or another.

So it really means you need to learn self control. Just because you can kill someone or something does not mean you should do so willy nilly.

Thats TES for you, love it and hate it.

I used the nord woman from the bar in whiterun. If you brawl with her and win she follows you. Her name begins with U don't remember it all. Worked great....Don't use dark brother hood trainee!
