BSA Extractor

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 4:40 pm

I've noticed several Texture mods have been released so far. There must be a BSA extractor. I couldn't locate it on SkyrimNexus. Anyone have any information?

Use any of the old ones. The file format is the same as in the Fallout series.

Lots of threads popping up on this.

Would be great to see some user moderation in this forum since it's the modding forum, so that stickies and things like FAQs, lists of important threads, etc. can be created by those who are very involved in the modding community.

A good one to use is Fallout 3 Archive Utility, since it doesn't require any (granted, simple) trickery to run.

It just requires an ancient non-x64 Java-version AFAIS. :P

Oh yeah LOL I totally forgot about that, since I'm running non-64 XP SP3 and I run a bunch of other programs that use the same thing... oops - sorry ;)

Will this work on vista 64 bit? Also could someone let me have the download as I get 30 seconds of Pizza or other adverts but then an error whenever I try to download. Cheers.

That post meant a non-64 bit version of Java, not the system itself. The compatibility issues with Win32 programs on Win64 were fixed in Vista by having it use the Win32 system as a fallback for when there was no 64-bit version of the program that one wishes to run.

Goody. Will this tool require any particular mucking about with hex editing or other witchcraft?

Good. I am trying it now with the meshes. I absolutely hate that jar file shortcut stuff. I can never get those bu99ers to work.

Works like a dream without the shortcut. Using 64 bit vista.
