bugged giant's toe

First I'm going to mention that I have the game for the PS3, but you can't post a topic over there without it being buried under dozens of lag issues within 2 minutes. Lets not forget that there are other issues with the game.

I have a stack of Giant's Toes that can't be sampled, used in alchemy, dropped or sold. When trying to perform any of these actions I get a message saying "can't (blank) quest items" So they are pretty much dead weight. Also, any Giant's Toes that I buy or loot get added to the stack.

I'm pretty sure this started when I started the Night To Remember quest. After waking, part of the quest was to help the priestess clean up "the mess" One of the items on the ground was a giant's toe. I thought, "what an odd thing to be laying around"

Unfortunately I didn't realize the item was bugged and put in a significant amount of hours of play afterwards. So watch out for that.

Anyone experience similar things?

Yes, it looks like this giant's toe is a quest item, and for some reason any other giant toes you pick up will be stacked on top of that giant toe, which makes the game think those are quest items too.

I haven't finished the quest yet, I assume the one toe is removed from you at some point. But the quest tag might still remain on the other toes, depending on whether this is simply an interface bug that prevents you from dropping any item stack which contains a quest item, or a bigger issue where every item in a stack that contains a quest item becomes a quest item.

Did you finish the quest yet?

I had a similar problem, but it faded after I completed all of the Night to Remember quests. Hopefully you aren't carrying around hundreds of alto wine and giant toes. :icecream:

Had this issue. I found it fixed itself when I finished A Night to Remember. Even though I chose to Intimidate the Farmer, rather than go and fight the Giant. One I finished the Questline Giant's Toes were no longer marked as quest items.
