So i got the update for skyrim at my house last week when i got home. I took my skyrim with my saved games to my cousins so i could play them while i was here. I put the game in the xbox try to load my game and was greeting with "The game you are trying to load is from a later version" (or something along those lines). I didn't think i would need to bring the updates with me (or even how to do that) but now i can't play my game until i get the updates back. I can't get on to xbox live on my cousins xbox so i can't get the update back. Has anybody else encountered this issue or maybe know how to fix this problem? Input would be appreciated.

I just tried it again and the message is "This save game was created on a later version of Skyrim. Please download any updates." this message is really annoying this is the only game i can think of that does this if you delete updates or move a game without the updates (which i don't even think it's possible to move updates).

It does this for a reason, as well as few other games do this, mostly rpgs do the same thing. Its due to the fact of glitching/cheating that are corrected by updates.
It's to prevent a player from being able to revert back into a game state where you can glitch for gold/weapons/etc, and then apply the update to fix said glitch and continue the game.
Sometimes it can be annoying, especially in your case, but for the most part doesnt cause to much hassle.
