Most likely not. Skyrim currently lacks support for more than 2 cores(console port), so yeah you lack the processor power. The rest looks "okay" though. But on max, absolutely not. There are mods that increase performance and visuals without downsides though.
I think you could. If you can't Vanilla, try http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=123. I don't even meet the recommended settings for my processor and video card, and it allows me to play on high.
Your clock speed is rather low. This game is totally CPU bound so you'll struggle in towns (everyone gets FPS dips there, but you'll get pretty bad ones with that clock).

Actually that mod made my game even slower and looked like piss. I'd rather prefer ENBSeries for skyrim, as the creator is very experienced.

Well, it completely sped my game up, I could hardly play on minimum settings and now it has virtually no lag at high. I think the mod is intended for people with crap computers like mine. I haven't heard of the other mod, I'll look it up.
I believe the CPU could handle it, thats a very capable processor, the GPU on the other hand I think is a little bit lacking, though never rule out playing it in low-medium settings at about... 30fps at a low resoultion.
rofl actually, my computer is i3 2.3ghz , 4gb ddr3, nvidia geforce gt 330 2.6gb, win7 64, and i run at max, at around 30 fps, at 1380 by 700 resolution

is that the resolution of your monitor or did you put it down?
ive got an amd 1.7 quad core laptop which usually isnt quite fast enough for high settings in games radeon mobility 5650 1gb and 6gb ram
skyrim runs amazing on high, and on ultra its surprisingly playable.....except whenever i go into a town or wander to close to any kind of structure, the framerate drops dramatically and it becomes too frustrating to enjoy
so ive been holding off playing the pc version hoping this can be fixed with a patch i also bought it for 360
what i find so hard to believe is my computer specs are quite a bit better than a 360, and the game runs better than on a 360 but the 360 has no trouble whatsoever rendering the towns and structures...? how could this be?
so theres your answer yes itll run (i wouldnt put it on max, but close) but if you spend any time in towns you wont be happy
The graphics card is not great. My GTX580M will play it on max but not at a very high frame rate if I put the resolution to 1080p. Totally playable in Skyrim but not the smooth 60fps I'd want for an FPS for instance.
What you say about lower resolution sounds a good solution, although it would be worth trying good textures and high res and turning off effects. I prefer things to look detailed but not have effects than effects but not look detailed if you see what I mean.
