Can't sell Frostbite venom now? : V

None of the alchemy shops will buy frostbite venom (from the Frosty spiders) from me any more - is this a bug or by design?? (svcky design if so!)

Also, I noticed that at least some of the armor stores won't buy hide armor either

I've noticed that too. They tend to buy more potent poisons though. I didn't pay much attention as I can still sell them to the general goods merchant & the thieves guild fences.

Actually, I don't think the general store buys Frostbite venom anymore either (at least the one in Whiterun). Not a T.G. member (mage char)

Yes... odd... I can't sell frostbite venom to Arcadia or Angeline (I'll assume none of the other alchemy vendors either). Bits and Pieces and Belethor's will still buy it though.

(Never noticed this until now since I've been tossing the venoms into my poisons chest... never mind that they're pretty useless here at lvl 37.)

Not having any issues with hide armor, though.

But what level are you? I'm lvl 26 - but it might be related to how many frost spiders I've killed/looted (never use the stuff, just sell it)

Got > 2 dozen in inventory I can't sell

Never noticed that you can't sell it now, but I've stopped picking it up a long time ago! It's useless and it's way too cheap to encumber myself with these potions.

For whatever reason, none of the Alchemy vendors will buy it unless you have the Merchant (50 speech) perk. This has been the case on each of my 10+ characters.

I'm pretty sure they (alchemy vendors) were buying before, but it's possible I was selling them somewhere else?? But AFAIK, nobody wants ot buy them now, and also Whiterun armor stores won't buy Hide stuff anymore either

Lucan/Belethor will (or should) buy Frostbite Venom. Is it possible that the items you are trying to sell are marked as stolen? That would prevent them from even showing up in the barter menu, and it's a pretty easy thing to miss.

Alchemists don't buy it, its weird. General stores will though.

No, I do have some stuff marked as stolen - shows red in my inventory - and that's another problem - that stuff I looted OK, put in a chest in a dungeon and told Lydia to "Take all" - and it seems that everything in that chest was flagged as stolen!?!?!?

The Forstbite venom ALL came from killing the spiders though

WOW - just took the Merchant perk - that is one great perk! Makes selling stuff so much easier !!!

Did you steal any? Most venders will not buy anything stolen.

I noted that we still have the problem of all similar items being flagged as stolen if you steal one item. I stole one Rudy and now I am carrying 20 around that I can't sell anywhere (unless I join the Thieves Guild I guess).

traders will buy it. Achemists never did buy it from my character.
