Without any capture equipment, I took the best photo I could of a texture right outside Windhelm that I thought looked particularly ugly. Outside Windhelm's front gate, there are a couple steps. RIght at the bottom of these steps is where I looked straight down at the ground and took the photo (while my body was oriented facing toward the gate). In the photo you can see my character's left arm, holding Stoneflesh and wearing enchanted Ebony Gauntlets. The photo was also taken at night (the light you see is torchlight from the hold walls).

This photo was taken after installing Patch 1.02. Can anyone provide a screenshot of the same spot/view in Patch 1.01? I tried, but can't use either of my save files if I uninstall patch data.

Anyone who hasn't updated yet - we could get good information / a good comparison from this.

It looks like gravel with flecks of snow to me. I find that the textures do tend to render slightly blurred if I'm very close, e.g nose touching a tree or rock face, but if I step back they look brilliant.

With regards to the patch altering the Graphics, it's not possible due to it being a small sized install. Is your game play any better than it was post patch, e.g less lag?

It seems people are experiencing better game play, but are looking for other things to pick at. I'd say stop worrying and enjoy the game!

It seems people are experiencing better game play for a certain amount of time. A lot of people here on the forum are reporting worse or equal lag after playing the game for some time.
