So it seems like every time I get my game running perfectly for a night I come home from work the next day and my FPS is back down to 30 from 60+.

I don't know why -- but the game will not let me keep a custom INI file. Every time I close Skyrim and reopen it, it "automatically detects my 3D settings" and overwrites my INI. I've even tried making my SkyrimPrefs.ini file Read-Only -- all this does is prevents me from making any in game changes.

Last night I was running 60+ FPS ***EVERYWHERE (except towns)*** with an EXTREME graphics INI tweak -- this afternoon I'm running 25-35 FPS. I didn't touch anything settings-wise, and my toon is in the same exact place.

It's really getting tiring having to redo my entire INI file EVERY time I wanna play the damn game.
