Hi!
I'm new memeber and I come from Italy. If there will be a Collector's Edition, what do you want to see into it?

A better question is what we would want in a collectors edition.

I changed the first post. And you? What do you want to see?

I want to see in the Collector's Edition:

- Metal Box
- Art Book with Hard Cover
- 10x15 cm Lithograph
- Soundtrack
- Dunwall Map

I'd prefer a poster to an art book, but that looks like a pretty basic well-rounded collector's edition.

What I'd probably want...

- Fancy packaging -- doesn't have to be metal
- Poster featuring one of several possible concept arts
- Soundtrack
- Extensive "making of..." DVD
- Dunwall/world map
- Game-world guide
-- What I mean by this is a sort of encyclopedia and introduction for this world they've created
- SDK/Map builder

What I'd like to see in a limited edition (non-preorder).

So my thing with limited editions is that they are extremely expensive and have all this cool stuff, but they sell them all before the game is even released, which, let's be honest, is too soon to know if the game is really worth a limited edition.

- Everything from collector's edition +
- high quality art book
- life size Corvo mask
- life-time free DLC for Dishonored

- life size Corvo mask

Cool!!!

The problem, for me, is the cost of a Colletor's Edition. If I spend 150€ for a videogames my parents kill me.

However, If they put all this fantastic stuff, a high price is justified. I hope that they make a Collector's Edition because I think that Dishonored will be a beautiful and innovative videogame.

The name of the protagonist, Corvo, is strange... corvo is an italian word and translated in english is crow. They explain why they gave a italian name?

I don't buy collectors editions, I do like the "inbetween" version - Like the "Augmented edition" for Deus Ex and "hardened edition" for Call of Duty (sadly I had to refer to Call of Duty.)

I want something that makes buying the edition worth while, but not something that's overpriced or gets in the way. Things that enhance the game, so a map (that you can actually use, not just for show), concept art book, something like a piece of literature from the in-game world.

Die-cast vehicle anyone?

I for one would like an Art Book more than anything and possibly a soundtrack.

Art Book and soundtrack are the most important stuff, and after metal box and a map.

What style of music will have the songs of the game? Anyone know?

A wailing ship in a bottle.
A wrist watch with the same sort of steam punk style.
And, ya, I want a mask.

Basically like a metal toy car (eg, Hotwheels, Matchbox, etc), except presumably of the larger, collectible variety (although having one in the same scale as my childhood toy cars would be pretty awesome).

Anyway, one thing I always love to get with CEs are things that look like they came from the game world (eg, Oblivion's Septim coin and Pocket Guide to the Empire, Fallout 3/NV's lunchbox/poker chips, Bioshock 2's vinyl record, posters and cd-that-looks-and-feels-like-a-mini-vinyl-record).

I'd like an exclusive DLC. Extra missions or weapons. Maybe even a collector's edition exclusive power. The special edition should make the game itself better.

Exclusive DLC? Are you nuts! I'm not pre-ordering the game. So you can go stuff yourself.

Everyone should get the same game, no matter where they get it from or when.

I'm only against pre-order exclusives if they vary from store to store or vary on different platforms.

As long as everyone gets the option to get all the stuff from a single pre-order, then I am fine with that.

It costs how much to make a preorder? And that comes off of the price of the full game anyway.

I wasn't talking about a pre-order bonus, I was talking about a special edition exclusive. That's what this thread is about, so I don't know how you made that mistake. I think if someone is shelling out the additional 20, 50, 100 or whatever bucks they deserve more than a stupid looking bust and small deck of cards. (Why'd you have to ruin what we had, Duke?) But since you bring it up, pre-order incentives help the economy by combating the growing trend of people who wait for prices to drop. Stores have to actually pay for their stock, and if it takes a year or two for them to get their investment back it's the employs who suffer. Unless people decide on their own to buy new games at full price for the sake of the economy, pre-order incentives are necessary.

Help the economy? You're more generous than I am. Publishers are doing everything they can to squeeze more money out of us. That's exactly what DLC is: a way to charge customers more than the RRP for the 'full' game. Backroom deals with game stores for exclusives is a similarly disgraceful practice. It is not a trend to be encouraged.

Snidely Whiplash is not a game publisher. The economy is being helped by the DLC and pre-order exclusives. Now, can we please get back on topic?

I don't mind real DLC. A 20-30$ expansion for Dishonored including a new storyline and several new missions? Yes, please.

I would truly love to see the return of fully priced expansion packs instead of DLC for modern games.
