Is ebony armor too much for a lvl 28 char>

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 11:59 pm

Well since smiting is a bit broken here, like whatever item you make you still lvl up so, i was just wondering if ebony armor is too much for a lvl 28, i play on expert and i sometimes fell that melee attack or arrows do very little dmg to me, so if anyone can answer this it would be great, and also if you can type wich armor is good for wich lvl because i don't want to be op compared to everyone

I think I started using ebony around level 30 or so and I still took some good hits (playing on expert), but I can't be sure. If you're OP you could always raise the difficulty and still wear the cooler looking stuff :)

Ebony Armor is perfectly fine at level 28, upgrade Ebony Armor might be a bit much depending on your smithing skill and playstyle.

I thought me and my partner both having full dragon was overpowered. I just spammed smithing from the start/

If I, say, want to get Glass Armor, but never go past it... (because its pretty) can I upgrade & enchant it to the point of being "good" armor for super high levels?

Level 47. Master difficulty. Unarmoured.

Stuff kills me in one shot, but given how easy it is to avoid being hit (excluding dragon autotracking, which is magic damage anyway), it hardly matters. Hell, it actually improves the game a whole lot and removes a lot of the lategame godmode feeling.

My point is that you should see armour as a luxury. It's not needed, it just helps.

Yes sir. At least close to it. Just take a powerful smithing potion while you craft it which will boost it and then once you want to upgrade it take a smithing potion, then enchant it with something but also take an enchanting potion to make the enchantment even stronger.

I would go with looking at the level of Smithing skill required to make it and then divide by half-ish. This only works for stuff you can make yourself, of course, since you can find things like Glass when you're in your level 20s.

This is impossible, you cannot possibly be playing on expert and barely take damage...

Unless you have some mean-ass enchantments on that armor.

I had daedric at level 22 and got my [censored] handed to me by all sorts of enemies.

I had Daedric sets by level 23 or so and thought it was fine playing on master.

Just put it up to master.

I only upgrade when I feel that my armor is inadequate to deal with the challenges I face, or I get bored of my current armor. That or on the very rare occasion I actually find something better than what I have. I didn't upgrade from Ebone to Dragon bone until my late 30's and even then it was because I was bored with Ebony and want to get Dragon Bone instead. I currently have no plans to upgrade to Daedric because it really doesn't interest me.

Not at all, if you got up to the level to create ebony itens that's because you deserved it ( even if he/she made lots of iron daggers, it's not really breaking any of the games rules or exploiting stuff), just mind you, that the armor will not be as effective in some ennemies wich remains OP even with good gear.

I just said i had it upgraded to legendary wich mean i took a blackmith potion that improves my gear by 50%, how o you have daedric at lvl 22 you have 90 smithing?

You're so right. Having the best weapons and armour in the game as soon as you start is not exploiting a flaw in the system at all.
