There are a lot more homosixuals than you'd like to think.

Homosixuality is a part of humanity and they have just the same rights to express it as straights. Get over it.
There are homosixual companions mostly for equality issues I'd assume, same way BioWare does it to give player more.. ahem.. "options".

And a lot of gays are gameplayers too, shockingly  Good market sense for the devs, appeal to as many demographics as possible, make more money. I don't know how much the inclusion of gay characters and lovers in NV appeals to the average gay gameplayer, as far as being a big draw to make them want to buy the game... but it certainly can't hurt to make your game 'equal opportunity' as it were, and approach the inherent sixuality of it with a respect for different tastes. And considering it's been glaringly absent from the 'love interest' angle in pretty much every gaming genre in history, its inclusion in NV has to be a pretty attention-grabbing event for gay gameplayers. And if it maybe even helps some people to learn a little more acceptance and understanding of people who are different from them, then so much the better.

I don't like how sixuality has been made an issue in videogames. If there are no [censored], people cry out, and if there are, people still cry out.

Personally I blame Bioware and their everyone is Bi and everyone must be a sixpartner policy, as I don't remember it being as much an issue before they started making their half-games-half-cuplingsims. :smug:

Dragon Age? Heh, yeah. Couplingsim... pretty accurate. You could bone just about everything but the vendor's mules. Maybe there's a mod....

Many of those people only identify themselves as gay if you have the perk that identifies your character as gay. They might be repressed, but they feel they are talking to someone who can understand.

No one in Fallout 3 was openly gay.

Few people in Fallout talked about sixual preference of any kind.

Nah, Burke was straight. As a female character you can seduce him into abandoning his plan to bomb Megaton or give you more caps for it with Black Widow.

He could be bisixual.

If we're assuming there's only two biological sixes, then the chart looks like: Heterosixual/Homosixual/Bisixual/Asixual.

You'd need at least two more genders to be "omnisixual". Or include Radscorpions and crap, which I do NOT want to even consider.

Yeah I'm as big of a fan of Bioware as anybody but they did take the whole relationship thing just a little bit to far.

I never thought that this would cause such a ruckus. Sorry if any offence was caused.

That's the one. Or cherchez le femme for the ladies. If you don't take those perks, most of the gay npc's won't ever let on that they are. The big exception being Veronica, of course. And the gay ho-boys in Vegas.

Veronica - Christine
Arcade
Major Knight
Jimmy
Betsy
hokers

Boone had a wife.
Cloud had a husband.
The Hostetler family.
The Brahmin farmer and his wife in NoVac.
Johnson and Ruby Nash.
And plenty more

Vera and Dean Domino then Sinclair were couples.

Theres not that many visible gays, I didn't even know Arcade was gay until I saw the wiki, seems that because of all the male hoker there seems to be alot of gays running around.

I don't mind seeing more than the usual stereotypical heterosixual super male with bulging muscles and a small brain, it isn't like any of you who are uncomfortable with the reality of homosixuality/bi-sixuality and trans-gender/transsixual in real life and video games and other forms of the media that isn't being stereotyped by narrow minds are going to find your parts shivelling up and dropping off.

It isn't any harm to you or anyone.

Probably the reason you didnt see many people in FO3 openly gay (or shouting at the top of their lungs their respective sixuality) is because you were... Pretty young in FO3. iirc, 16?18? Still a teen, or so, since it seems you dont age in game time, and you had just completed your initiation thingie, or maybe a few years after that... And plus that one.. hoker in Megaton seemed to be like "Your too young, but ill still SLEEP in the same bed as you"... That is, iirc. So, being a young'un in all, people didnt want to jump on you like a horny rabbit as much as they do in FNV (it seems to me at least).

The only gays I saw were that one NCR lady, forget her name, Arcade, that male prosttute.. And one or two more. Looking at some posts, it seems only around ten or so people are homosixuals... Not that much.

Oh, and if it counts, you can be a Trisixual in the game... You CAN have six with a robot, after all ;).

Nah, I don't buy this. By the time you exit Vault 101 you're eighteen, an advlt even by modern standards (and the age at which a person was considered advlt was probably much lower in a pre-industrial - heck, pre-agricultural setting of the Capital Wasteland), and at the height of sixual desirability.

I think the reason there was so little six (of any inclination) in FO3 is the same reason why we don't see any sort of agriculture anywhere in the Capital Wasteland - Bethesda didn't think the setting through the same way Obsidian did.

I'm suprised no one mentioned Sergio. If that guy isn't so gay he's on fire I don't know who is.

Not someone I remember well, is that the barber in The Kings School of Copying Some Hipster Jailbird ?
If so then from what I do remember of his voice he is gay, stereotyping on the squeaky voiced/hair fanatic gays here.

Jimmy in Freeside. Even if you never heard him mention he was a male hoker, the voice alone is queenie enough to confirm all suspicions

This is pretty much it.

I have seen a good few people who seem to be homosixuals in the wasteland, and I was wondering if this was really nessecary. Why make their sixualities clear?

Veronica, Arcade, some Major at the Mojave outpost... the list goes on. Boone is the only person who has gotten married, to my knowledge.

Without gays would not be fun :DD,A little of everything is always good to make an game fun,but i was wondering if one of the guys who worked in bethesda voice/audio studio, was gay :D lol.
