Fire Salts. Where?

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 10:15 pm

I need to collect fire salts for the blacksmith in Riften but am struggling.
I have a couple but it has been at least 15 hrs gameplay since I last found some.
I know you get them from flame atronachs but I cant find any.
Any ideas?

wow... secsy link and less secsy answer, uhappynow.

Are you honest or dishonest, Valius?

If you're dishonest there's a couple on most shelves in alchemy shops and in the arch mages quarters in winterhold as well as in the castle mage's rooms in riften.

If you'd prefer be honest there's a bit of travel involved and most of the general goods and alchemy supply vendors have them for sale occasionally. Remember that it's about a 48 hour reset on most vendors so just keep fast travel as an option and move around the country.

fire atronachs, you won't meet much of them in the early part of the game, they will become more frequent later on.
you can find the salts also from alchemist shops or looting dungeons

uhappynow: thanks for the link
Julienne and bartoman:
Thanks for your help. Yeah I am dishonest so thieving isnt a problem.
I never actually think about looking in alchemy shops, that is I ask the seller but never actually look around the shop.

You are a thief and you go into shops when they are open? I expect you actually buy things with money too. You maybe need to go and have a chat about your personal values with Delvin, Vex and the crowd down at the guild.

P.S. Just about the only shop in Skyrim that I haven't burgled is the Drunken Huntsman in Windrun, and that's because the chap in there treats me nicely - he calls me his "Khajiit friend" (isn't that sweet).

Combine a salt pile + ruby (or ruby neck/ring) + any soul gem in the atronach forge. no sigil stone required.
