Flame atronach armor.

I have no idea. This modding is new to me. But that flame atronach armor would look amazing on a female body. Can it be done?

course it can be done
you take the textures from the atronach cut it in 4 pieces (head, briastplate, shoes and arms)
and put it either over the textures of an already existing armor or you make your own armor

Some things like that cant be broken down though. The flame body and the armor might be one piece, right?

Right, but you would then it just takes a little longer and a little more skill though. It is still doable and somebody will probably be doing it practically as soon as the CK comes out.

It was done in oblivion, I would imagine it can be done here too. I don't think they would have changed it to a single piece. I could definitely be wrong though, haha.

Just had a look, and yes, the armor is a separate mesh from the body. I don't know how to rig it to a normal humanoid body, though.

Fantastic!

I can't wait to sink into the CK and get things rolling!

I did one in Oblivion; just yanked it into place so that it fit the human body mesh reasonably well and ran the "bone weight copy" script.

So the logical conclusion to this is that we can have nvde Fire Elementals?

Did anyone else notice how they are distinctly feminine now? Kind of odd, considering the others are only vaguely humanoid, and lacking armor.

I don't know about you, but the frost elemental would look pretty bad-ass with a horned iron helmet. Thunder guy seems rather out of luck, however.

No, because that would give the game an 18 rating. You'll be wanting nvde mudcrabs next!

I thought they also looked pretty feminine in Oblivion, too.

Well, since we're in the mod section I thought we could all safely assume we're talking about mods and not developer released content.
I want some nvde flame atronach mods!

And yeah, in Oblivion they made them look as if they were the female gender, but in Skyrim they look a lot more feminine, down to the way they move even. Speaking of Oblivion, I thought the flame-shaped tip of the their head was hilarious in that when they died, it wobbled around as they fell, like some sort of super flexible banana.

I dont see why it would be considered 18 rating. The frost elemental is naked after all, as long as the fire elemental is completely smooth it shouldn't be a problem. It could be like a female http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_Storm or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire_%28comics%29. I think it would look awesome.

Took me all of two minutes with Blender back in Oblivion to rig the flame atronach armor to the female with a little resizing and some bone weight copy.

Now if skyrim makes it easier than it was for Ob to actually CHANGE/REPLACE player animations, then I'd be totally down for a play as flame atronach mod replete with animations.

Would make a great shout.

OMG, you're right! That's it, I'm petitioning for Skyrim to be banned and for an angry crowd armed with pitchforks and goats to descend on Bethesda's offices. This outrage must be stopped!

Cool. More incentive for me to get Blender tonight then :)
