Graphic issue

when i start the game it automaticly detects what video options im suppost to have, but it detecs the wrong grapic card and i cant change it, my computer is a alienware mx-17 with a intel hd graphics family card and a nvidia G-force gtx 560m.
it detects the intel card and ofc i wont it to detec the gtx 560m.
so my question is how can i change this ? i've tried alot of different things without any luck, i've read that som other people also experience the same problem.
please help me im so frustrated

You may need to actually disable the onboard Intel graphics. Though this would mean you'd lose the "low power" ability to shut down the GeForce chip to save battery charge.

You might also want to right click the desktop and open the nVidia Control Panel. There may be an option in there that needs changed in order to set the GeForce chip as the primary graphic card for "3D" games. (I put 3D in quotes because I don't mean 3D as in 3D glasses).

Also, when you first open Skyrim it pops up a launcher screen. On this screen is an "Options" button. You may be able to go into that and switch the video card you want it to use. I'm not at home with my personal gaming computer but for some reason my memory is telling me it had that option for me (as I have 2 GTX 470's in my system).

i looooooooooooooooooooooooooooove you omg it worked kyitty your my hero!!
i only made my g-fore 560 the primary i didten even have to disable the onboard graphic card :D
