Graphics rendering problem?

I'm having a problem with my graphics. I've been fiddling with the settings and nothing seems to get rid of these big splotches of unrendered area. It only happens outside. Anyone have a fix for this? Thanks.

That to me seems like it could be related to fog lacking transparency? Maybe that will give you a clue as to what settings to test?
