I've search all over the place, and I can't seem to find any answers to these questions: How should I go about patching my vanilla game to v1.5? Has anyone else experienced Lydia AI growth?

Like many of you, I pre-ordered the game and started playing on 11-11-11. I had no problems, and I still have no glaring problems besides the occassional broken quests, and I have played through three characters. I'm curious as to how I should go about patching to v1.5. Do I install each patch seperately, or do I just install 1.5?

Secondly, I am wondering if anyone has ever had Lydia get "smarter" on them. With my current character, I was going through a dungeon full of Draugr, and I became encumbered. I quickly opened my inventory and purged it of all unnecessary things; one of the things being a Dragon Priest Staff. I go through the dungeon as normal and I get to the "boss" Draugr when out of no where, a wall of flames engulfs the Draugr and myself! I spin around, thinking another Draugr has woken up, and see Lydia spewing flames with my discarded Priest Staff! Fastforward a couple of levels, and I am noticing a significant delay in Lydia's willingness to race to my aid; it almost seems as if she has had enough of helping me. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this sort of action from their followers.

Um, by connecting through steam, you should automatically get the patch when you run the game. Edit: It will update you with the latest patch.

Also, followers will pick up whatever's on the ground - staves are a favorite!

Sorry, I guess I forgot to mention that I am playing on the 360. Thanks for the heads up about followers though!

As soon as you connect to Xbox Live, it should patch the game. The 1.5 patch came out a while ago, so if you have been on Live/Played the game in the past month or two, then the game is patched.
