(IDEA) Your own bandit clan

I was thinking as I was creating a new two handed tank character, that a joinable (or startable) bandit "faction" would be a great addition to the vast world of Skyrim. As I continued playing I though up the beginnings or a story line.

My thought was that there could be a member (perhaps leader) of another bandit clan that is in some kind of peril with his/her entire clan deceased that the player has the option to rescue. An example of this could be the bandit leader is being held prisoner by some necromancers that have reanimated his crew and forced him to watch them fight as the necromancers observe, after witnessing the bloody battle the leader has been locked away and become a slave to his necromancer captors.

A few weeks pass for the leader...

The player receives a bounty that instructs them to destroy the necromantic cult because they have been kidnapping the occupants of a nearby town or village, upon slicing (or otherwise) down the cult the player comes across a research journal with the details and findings the cult have made as well as a key to a nearby locked door. When the player unlocks the door the leader can be seen paralysed rigid to a seat only able to talk. The leader expresses his surprise and tells the player the cult were using him as a medium for their experiments, but when asked about the rest of his clan will not divulge. He asks the player to find a scroll that would reverse the paralysis that a particularly sadistic necromancer used to show to him, then say that he will never receive.

After this a few events take place that lead up to the eventual formation of a clan with the leader as your second in command. I already have ideas for these events but would like some feedback about the above prologue.

I can wax lyrical about my idea forever, but as an introduction, what do you think? Any feedback would be lovely. I'm also thinking about trying my hand at modding when the CK is released with help from the forums. I don't think this is a terribly large mod and I intend to attempt to slowly chip at it when the CK is released. I have been installing mods for a few years and have gleaned an understanding of the CK at a very very basic level from reading the bigger modder's posts.

So, feedback?

Thanks!
