Initiate's Ewer Problem

Post » Tue Oct 30, 2012 4:21 am

In the 'Touching The Sky' quest I am hopelessly stuck at the part where I must pour the water from the ewer into the basin to unlock the door to the Inner Sanctum.

I have collected all 5 types of water from each basin without trouble and have made my way to the front door of the Inner Sanctum only to be stuck outside without hope of getting in.

The option to pour the water into the basin is fine (which is my current quest objective) and my character happily performs the animations. Yet even once the water has drained from the basin, it does not flow the way it should to unlock the door.

I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong.

I don't see how this could be a bug related to any mod, and I've already googled possible solutions.

The UESP offers the below advice but I'm not actually at stage 132.00 in the quest, but 105.00 and even if I try the advice below. I can't get into the Sanctum.

When you have finished collecting the ewer, and are about to pour it in the basin, it won't react and you will be stuck.

If you have this problem, open the console and enter GetStage DLC1VQ07. If it returns 132.00, that means that somehow the quest progressed past the next stage of the quest. Since you cannot go back stages, the only way to solve this problem would be to use SetStage for every stage past "Gain Entry to the Inner Sanctum" until the current stage number is above 132 (meaning SetStage DLC1VQ07 200, completing the quest, giving you the bow, and starting the next quest). This will mean skipping quite a lot of stages, but there's no way to fix this bug at the moment without skipping.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Almost certainly a mod bug, try reloading an earlier save would seem logical

Tomorrow I'll try de-activating, and re-activating my mods one at a time. Any idea which it might be to save me some time?

Is there any way I can get Nexus Mod Manager to export a list of my mods, or do I have to type them all?
