Just got the game

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 11:00 am

This is actually the first game I've purchased in a while that I won't get to pick up early, due to pre-ordering it on Amazon. I live near an army base and I swear those guys get everything ahead of us. A friend of mine on base told me he was getting his copy yesterday...I suppose it's a good trade for serving your country ;)

Release dates. What is this, a movie? Is there going to be a big skyrim party we're all invited to? No? Then why not just release the game now?

I can't explain how it feels (i'm dutch) but it feels more like egyptian paper-roll thing then an standard-poster. It's nice to touch :)

Indeed, we're all jealous, but some people get really hateful and rude. And for some reason, people who obtained the game legitimately can't come here and share their experience because mods will lock and delete their posts. It's one thing to do that for leaked copies, which they obviously aren't doing extensively. But punishing people who did everything legally is really harsh. Bethesda's release strategy didn't work out obviously, they should just go ahead and let people play the game already is if it's done, shipped, in stock, and ready to preload.

Go figure. Release dates never really work as they should. I wish it were like in the past, the game starts being sold as soon as it is ready. I can't survive until Friday.

So should I call local Gamestops to see if I could buy an early copy, or am I better off waiting till the midnight release on Thursday?

It's a pretty painful wait isn't it? We're so close now that I'm thinking of Skyrim stuff way more than I should be.

My god, the end of the world is approaching.

Sometimes I love Belgium. I just picked up my PS3 copy at my local shop.
Coffee has been applied to my body and I'm ready to play for some hours.

I would love to have a strategy guide right now so I can be planning things out for Friday. It's supposed to have a lot of character build examples in it.

This is totally what I wish too!!!!

So today I got a call from my brother, he bought skyrim for ps3 this morning, later this afternoon I went after my PC version.
Will probably have to wait until 11.11.11 anyway to play it, but I'm happy to have it at the ready :)
Dind't pre-order or anything, just went to shop and payed a (even) lower-price then normal I think. Payed 44.99€ for the pre-order edition with the map.
Btw, I live in Belgium.
I pre-ordered it (PC-version) and it cost only 34.90€. So you payed quite a high prize for your early copy.
