Sooooooooooooooo, I keep getting caught by the Solitude guards after I assassinate Vittoria Vici at her own wedding. I make a perfect bow shot at her, one shot one kill, from a hidden position that is up high. So I think mission accomplished - but then comes all the guards in Solitude wailing on me with their swords.

They didn't see me, I was totally hidden, yet still I get caught. Does anyone know of a way that I can pull this off with perfection?

PS: My Sneak is about 86 at the moment.

Knock the gargoyle down from above to squash her while staying out of sight. That's the only way I've been able to do it.

Just go in the corner far away from the balcony where she stands on. The guards will go up there but lizard guy will distract them. Once you see the hidden on the eye just make a run for it. That's how I do that quest.

What was your position when you shot her/stabbed her?

I sneak close to the Balcony they give the speech on, and reverse Pickpocket a Frenzy Potion onto the Groom.

Let him do the work of killing her, while I walk leisurely to the city gates.

I was on the balcony across from her where the enchanted bow is.

I was on the balcony where the bow is, and had the Shadow of Nocturnal ability from the Thieve's Guild, which I was able to use to become invisible after getting my shot off, and avoid detection before Derkeethus arrived. After that point, I jumped off of the balcony and made a dash to the Solitude exit.

There's a loose gargoyle statue above her head. Just push.

I was also able to use the gargoyle method without getting detected. A few invisibility potions never hurt too.

Thanks everyone, the gargoyle worked! I used an invisibility potion as well. Glad that's over with. hehe
