so far the only nice, friendly Argonian male I have met is Madesi so I bought a amulet to try to get a bit more friendly with him but he just want me to buy his jewelry or sell him some.. I have done a couple of quests for him and thought we were friends . Iona ( my housecarl ) said she is interested but I want a Argonian husband and although I have nothing against gay marriages it would fill strange to be wed to a female of a different race. She can't even swim ! I took her for a bit of an explore and she has to go over bridges while I love to swish my tail against the current !

Madesi can't swim either.

It's all a lie I'm afraid.

Correct me if I am wrong but the Skyrim wiki page does not show Madesi as a marriage candidate

There are a couple Argonian males who are marriage options, but Madesi isn't one of them.

Sadly there are a limited group of marriage-able NPCs inspite of what was implied by Bethesda in interviews ='(

However, if you are playing on the PC you might be able to add the NPC to the marriageable group via the console.

The above link has info on all NPCs that can be married. It also has instructions on "forceing" a NPC into marriage.

Pro Tip: To open console press ~ key which is directly left of the 1 key.
