I am playing an unarmored mage and want to find some gloves, What are other people wearing? Does anyone know where I can find some or if I can enchant them?

I wear heavy armor on feet and hands. No reason not to. There's not any real mage gloves or footwear that I've found. So I enchant them.

That is true. I was hoping for a pair like the gloves used in the College of Winterhold side quest.

If you want to go unarmored I'd enchant regular gloves so at least you get the benefit from the alteration perks that will boost your rather pathetic armor spells. You would be better off just wearing armor and enchanting that to replicate robes, but oh well.

Where can I find regular gloves though? I have only seen the ones for the side quest so far.

I want to keep myself squishy as much as possible this playthrough. I start to get bored when I don't really take any damage.

Kill some Thalmor in "self-defense." Their casters have some really nice clothes, including hand and footwear. They're not worth much, so I don't know how good an enchant they can hold.

Go up to the Thalmor embassy (I think it's called that). There are plenty there to murder and steal off
