Max Von Sydow familiarity poll

I think he has a great voice, just the right kind for an elderly mentor - or a king. From what I know of him (which means, nearly every movie :)), he can easily do as great a job as Terence Stamp did in Oblivion.

I never remember actor names unless they are of the ridiculously famous type, but it turns out I have seen a few films of his.

Same with me, honestly, and when I DO remember a particular actor, it's often not by that actor's own name, but by whatever role that actor played left the most impression on me, usually the first role of that actor that I really noticed. There's still a lot of actors I tend to refer to by the names of a character they've played rather than their actual names.

But anyway, I have no real idea of Max Von Sydow is, as long as he can be a good voice actor and fits the part he is given, though, I don't really need to know him. I don't need to recognize actors, whether for voice acting or live action performances, to appreciate them, if their performance is good, that's enough for me.

There's no "I've seen him but didn't realise who the actor was until I found out what he's been in" option.

Only seen him in Conan the Barbarian, I'm afraid.

But I love his voice, and I'm sure that it will suit the role of elder mentor perfectly. :)

Only after some people told which movies he played in, I was like "Who? Ah, that fellow. It may be I've seen him."

Only actor in Dune professional enough to inhabit his character rather than looking completely uncomfortable with the mess around them.

I'm Swedish and I didn't even know who he was until I looked him up in google. Then, I recognized his appearance.

Your Swedish and you didn't know of him? A shame, he is one of our greatest actors.

None of those options fit me. Max von Sydow is Swedish and I'm from Norway, so I've known who he was for years. He is a legend. I haven't seen that many movies with him, though, except the awesome "Seven Seals" by Ingmar Bergman.
