Morrowind Modders, Anyone left?

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 2:54 am

I also modded Morrowind, and I've been thinking of making some new stuff for skyrim when I get the pc version. If you want a sneak peek, I've got a couple screenshots to show :)

Guess what, I'm alive! :celebration:

*hugs C_Mireneye*

''Now with my ex girlfriend out of the way I can give this more focus Yay for ex girlfriends! haha.''

Got worse for me, I got married in 2009

Skyrim feels pretty cool, like Wizards Islands remix :obliviongate:

Is the toolset out already?

Cheers to JB. , Lady Eternity, DragoonWraith!

Congratulations. Wow, I have probably not talked to you in over two years, that is crazy. Hugs man!
Hahaha. Maybe just maybe she can be your muse and inspire you to greater things.

No toolset yet.

I hereby hand out a new bunch of fishysticks for a new beginning ^^ (damn it had I got the money I would travel around and give them to ye all personally).

Maybe I should plan what I want to do. hmm.

Oh that's right.. play the game first (grumble).

A shame that AlienSlof is not around :( She made so many cool Kittys. But for some reason the Khajiit in Skyrim looks like her Snow Leopard. :)
She is not here, but she is modding Skyrim on her own site.

*waves*

I made an alchemy mod, and a couple of other minor things, and some tutorials and the like :)

Played Oblivion but not long enough to get into modding it... didn't capture my heart the same way.

We'll see about Skyrim :) Don't really know yet if the alchemy system needs the kind of overhaul that I gave MW's... but one thing drives me crazy... the names of most of the flowers and butterflies. "Blue Butterfly"? "Red Mountain Flower"? wtf? lol. Might as well call the monsters "Beige Undead", "Black Undead" and so on ;)

Wish we could have Korana back for Morrowind :( Anyone know if she's planning on doing anything for Skyrim?

You know, I was going to say something when I saw that too, but in the end decided against it. I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking it though. ;)

Hahaha!

If that is what happened I feel sorry for Vincent ;)

Kudos for putting together the pieces in such a humerous fashion ^^

Cheers! (grabs a cider and sits down to do some 3d).

I'm still around, if that means anything.

At least back in the Morrowind days only half of the mods released were body enhancers. Maybe we can bring that standard back in Skyrim so we can avoid the 99% of Oblivion content that featured "XXXXXL Boobeez Lol".

Yay! Hey mate... What would a house be without a princess stamping stomping her mark on it?

Great to see a few old faces. AOF and DragoonWraith - hi guys. :)

Emma - I pulled another disappearing act... my profound apologies for that :(

I was a Morrowind initiate - broke my teeth turning stuff purple and other stuff shiny. And failing to release a lot of things......

My god dude, it's been years since I've seen you post here. You made the most badassed swords. I still have those on my hard drive lol.

Affirmative, still around, but my web page where the Morrowind/Oblivion mods were are gone (Still have them though but CBA to create a new page).

Did some modding for Fallout 3 too, but newer released anything.

Released quite a few Morrowind mods myself, mostly houses built in the CS — uploaded them to PES and a few other places. Not Hall of Fame material, but they were well received and thoroughly bug-tested.

I tend to enjoy creating small, organic hidey-hole dwellings without any game-breaking conveniences. Obsessive attention to detail and feng shui are musts.

I know I released some other, more technical mods, but I forgot what they all do and they're probably still stored on my old gaming rig in the closet.

Never been one of the more prominent of the Modding Community, but I'm still around and plotting a new mod for Skyrim.

If the list of script functions and everything I've seen is currently possible, then I think my mod idea will be a lot more possible than in Oblivion.

Never did anything public for Morrowind just modded for myself and some friends. Didn't do anything but make a couple swords in Oblivion- again never released.

Looking forward to learning the new engine and Kit and hopefully releasing stuff.

I'm really into making new lands and continents- though unlike morrowind it will be hard thanks to the voice dialog system. :)

Yeah, it was blatant exaggeration on my part :P

I had noticed over the course of browsing around the internet that other groups, i.e. people who don't visit the forums or other modding communities, have a certain impression of the sort of mods people make for Elder Scrolls. They visit the Nexus, and the mods plastered all over the front page are some sort of skimpy outfit, briast enlarger, underwear remover, or anime-styled character. They are legitimate mods for the people who like that sort of thing I guess, but it creates a lasting impression of the modding community overall. Skyrim came out, and the first thing I saw on reddit about modding was a post making fun of the already-existing Skyrim body replacers that removed underwear and made things...bigger. And that's how the Skyrim modding community begins.

Well, if you have looked on TESNexus in the last day or so, somene has taken making "things" bigger to almost the final level.(no joke, its so darned hilarious)(for oblivion)

Yea, Project Aedra and OpenMW are the two ones I can think of. I think there is a third, but that may have stalled out.

That would be the Crystal Scrolls.

it's likely just to "add a woman's touch" to the buyable houses, which are beautiful but could always be personalised with e.g. flowers in vases, etc.
I was going to do that but then I realized that I'm a guy. I'll probably create the mod anyway but I have to rename the items to like... "Manly flower vase" and "Badass decorations" or something

I'm still kicking around. For me, Skyrim is a lot more fun out-of-the-box than Oblivion was. I'm interested to see what the CS offers; it could be quite promising.
