I'm sure many will slowly trickle back in to Skyrim once the creation kit comes out.

I'm here. I did the Vivec Bump Map replacer and have almost finished my work on the Telvanni architecture, but that'll likely need to take a break now :) It would be a waste if my work for Skyrim wouldn't carry over to MW, though.

If there's one good thing about the underwhelming texture resolution in Skyrim, it's that it's easy to find work for us texture artists.
One thing that definetely caught my attention is the window textures.

Personally, I'm hoping for improved shader to be released soon. We need sunshafts and a better HDR implementation. I think it adapts too swiftly and after a too short amount of time. Doesn't feel naturally at all. Also, I think it's a bit overdone in general.

If the lucky case that the interface proves to be (easily) moddable, I'll get to work there as well. I can't say I hate it, now that the initial shock has worn off. It's surprisingly efficient to use with the keyboard. But there should be better mouse support! And it seems the interface is capable of loads of cool stuff. Did vou notice you can select text in the dragon shout descriptions? Most probably just something the devs didn't notice, but apparently, there's more under the hood that just isn't used

underwhelming texture resolution in Skyrim

Understatement of the day ;-) I forgive Skyrim though for the amazing vistas and the best mountains ever. Without doubt the first game I think I've seen where concept art, feels like it has been realised. But close up the game looks like everything has been run through a sharpen filter after a bad night out with way to many tequila shots.

Thanks for your efforts Biont, but do take that break and enjoy Skyrim :)

Well, my White Senches and Void gear are http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1256158-from-the-void/, if that counts.

Of course. Modders who got their start with Morrowind and are still around are a rare breed...

I'm pretty sure Emma is still active. She did many mods like Children of Morrowind.

Can't be that rare, haplo, you guys still have Tamriel Rebuilt going. Not to mention that the Morrowind forums are still quite active here.

Heh, well, I'm probably more of an Oblivion modder, but I started with Morrowind.

You really can't complain about mod activity for Morrowind, yeah. And with the voodoo shader on the horizon, Morrowind's graphics are ready to beat (vanilla) Skyrim in no time :celebration:

I dunno... I think modders tend to come and go and then come back again over the years. It's a hard thing to give up completely.

I'll probably be making a few mods for Skyrim. Smaller things though. Companions. Quest lines. Maybe a house. No more TCs for me (apart from the Oblivion one I'm still finishing off).

There are a few of us left.

You only mod a game as long as you're playing it. Once you stopped playing, it takes a lot of discipline to continue working on a project, especially when another game draws your interest or real-life interferes.

I did some personal modding for Morrowind but I never released anything. Most of my work was experimental stuff, trying to make bases, NPCs, items, etc. Nothing that I ever felt was worth releasing. I did have have an idea for a massive Dwemer stronghold but I never tried to build it.
Oblivion was the first game I released anything for however. Only ever released one thing for it, a simple script mod that made the messages first person. Some people might remember my Kingdom's of Estreoth mod, which eventually went defunct when I grew unhappy with various aspects of the mod.

That said, I plan on doing a lot more with Skyrim. My skill set is a much, much more varied now.

I got my start modding Morrowind in 2003 I think, never played Oblivion beyond 30 minutes, and never modded for it. I quit modding Morrowind about 2 years ago, however I still lurk the MW mods forum from time to time. I also plan to get Skyrim at some point and possibly do some modding if time permits.

Yeah... I lost a lot of the junk I was working on. I don't really have much time to be modding anymore anyway, unfortunately.

still here and yes I most likely make and release mods for skyrim it's just going to take some time before the whole community get's started. There's a lot of things that need to be tested etc. especially when it comes to custom armor and such!

Good to see plenty of the old crew still around. I have been known by many names, and most recently made "Knights of the White Stallion" for Oblivion.

I am pumped for the Creation Kit. I really hope it doesn't let us down!
