Like the title says. I was given the Nightingale Blade but for some reason I can not upgrade it. e.g. Flawless, Epic and Legendary.

However, I have no problem with the Nightingale bow.

yeah i've got the same issue, i also want to be able to upgrade "worn DB armor" and have the sneak dmg bonus fixed on it, doesnt seem to work, upgrading other things like ebony blade and those blue spirit swords would be cool too...

Do you mean the bound weapons? If you want them to get better you have to level conjuration.

Hope this issue is fixed with patch. I haven't downloaded it yet. Have you?

Yes I have a similar issue.

Even though my smithing was at 100 I could only get the Nightingale bow and blade up to "Flawless". However I drank a potion to increase smithing by 40% and it allowed me to get the bow up to "Epic".

I dont know if this is a bug or I dont have a perk in one of the right slots (I do have the one for arcane smithing).

Yes I think it must be a bug, but not sure why the potion makes it work but it did for me.

May want to hold off the patch update bud, sounds like theres a few problems with it.

Also if you wear a full set of smithing skill boosting clothes you can get them to legendary. Example: necklace, ring, gaunlets, and clothes all enchanted with fortify smithing should get you there.

YES!!!! I feel foolish for not thinking of it. I guess I just assumed that because I had reached the game limit (Level 100) it would stop. SO going to find a smith apron, gloves and boots.
