Are there any cheats to be able to spawn whatever NPC you want into the gameworld like Oblivion?

This would be very nice.
I need to spawn Faendal for the quest "Hired muscle". It would be nice to spawn him instead of starting all over again.

I do, but I don't now if it's diffrent from fallout 3 and Vegas.

It won't work for me so....

When the creation kit comes it will be much better.

What is the creation kit? when is it supposed to come out? Would be awesome to make your own little wars by spawning enemy characters and having them fight.

I just found it
type in console player.placeatme 00013480

is there any command to see the ID of the npc?
I also just found out this
type in console "save fred 1" this might freeze up your game for a bit but when its all done you will see a notepad just opened then do ctrl+f and then the name of the npc and then the first line will say something like "00013480" (which is faendals code)

I've already googled skyrim commands but didn't knew the name of the engine. Do you have a link or a list of commands for this engine maybe?

EDIT:Away from that the command worked perfectly and I can finaly brawl with Faendal, but the quest won't update. Why? :C
Has anyone suggestions? Maybe another command to end this §%$§ nice quest?

Ok, here is a command to complete the quest "Hired muscle" for the Companions.
NOTE: IF FAENDAL IS STILL ALLIVE OR ONLY DEAD TRY TO USE THIS http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1266070-npc-spawn-cheats/page__p__19220029#entry19220029
Open the console and type CompleteAllObjectives 00025231. The number is the baseID, which can be found by typing save fred 1 in the console and search the notepad with ctrl+f. It should pop up a quest message that says Complete.
EDIT: Seems that the screen says that the quest is completed but it's still in the questlog as not completed. Have no idea what to do with this.
EDIT2: Now after an hour of searching commands for various Gamebryo games I've found something to skip the quest "hired muscle".
Type player.setstage 00025231 100 and the game will finish the quest and give you 100g. You now can go to Skjor at Jorrvaskr who has a new quest for you.
Hope this won't mess things up. dunno testing atm Good luck

Noooo!! Don't ever use placeatme with NPCs. It's a really very, very, very bad idea; use "prid refid" then "moveto player", possibly in combination with "resurrect" if they've died; that can cause problems in itself if a quest checks that an NPC has actually died, but it's probably the least worst outcome for the game overall. Seriously, don't do it: it's fine with objects and creatures (potential for savegame bloating notwithstanding) but it can potentially cause chaos if done with NPCs.

You seem to know a few more commands. What can I do if the NPC (Faendal) is nothing more than an ash pile cause I've revived him with the Zombie spell and you want to complete/fix the quest Hired muscle"?

Has anyone found how to spawn a normal dragon? I only see Alduin in the list from save fred 1

Not sure offhand - that could be quite odd! My experience of console commands in this regard predominantly dates back to Oblivion, where meshes weren't replaced or dismembered upon death. My best guess is that disabling and reenabling (i.e. "disable" followed by "enable"; it may be necessary to exit the console between the two commands, depending) is the most likely means of restoring an NPC back to a complete, unburnt state...

If he is dead don't use the place at me commands as they can and willbug the game in most cases as the NPC the quest has "tagged" is dead and the new spawn will not script/sequence into the brawl sequence required for the quest to work. Just open the console command option click the dead npc so that its ID is shown and type resurrect.

I've just had to do this myself as the NPC was already dead from an odd experience the evening before when i loaded a save and the town went all hostile on me and he was the unfortunate one to meet my arrow before i legged it off :D
