They always put in those "rare instances", "few players", "the minority" to save face. There 1.1 patch was a complete flop. Also, why would they bother with those "rare instances" for a day one patch. When we now see what a pile of garbage this game turned out to be performance and stability wise. These games Bethesda releases, are not tested thoroughly or if at all. Every game I have had that has that name Bethesda is a bug infested nightmare. Regardless of the complexity of the game, they have been doing this now for sometime. Yet, it is a new day in the office for them with the same similarity of bug related issues. (Don't worry Beth, the community will fix it for you. The unofficial QA team) since the one you don't have or have is either paid in oreos or volunteers or just non existent. The game should be 40.00US or cheaper then 60.00 since you can pretty much count on the community to finish the other half of the game.
Here Todd Howard quote about him stating they "rigorously" tested Skryim. Which we now know is a load of BS. Also, there isn't anything "on the fly" about the time or length of time these patches or bugs are getting resolved. This entire article was a load of BS and too good to be true.
Before launch, Howard said, Bethesda is testing Skyrim rigorously and more heavily using a system that runs automated versions of the game overnight, searching for bugs and helping the team squash them. "We're getting better at it," Howard said.
Thing is, this isn't only PS3 related. This is affecting the PC as well. Not only is it performance and stability that is the major problems. After that is fixed, the game is plagued with quest bugs, and items floating upwards towards the sky, NPC vanishing right before you, Mammoths dropping out of the Sky and dying. Dragons "STILL" fly through terrain and mountains. Dragon Skeletons re spawn out of nowhere and sometimes right on top of you. The game is a mess. Not to mention that the graphical glitches are a distraction.
/rant over.
