Please Criticize This Build

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 7:51 pm

Class: Marauder

Focus: Explorer/Dungeon Crawling Archer that can hold his own via an axe focused toe to toe build for those close quarters fights. Healing comes from base proficiency in Alchemy.... Thief by night!

My main concern is if I'll be gimped with the lack of Armor and no magical ability, thoughts?

Also note.. I have a few remaining points - Light Armor? Further spec into a perk line? Or just some overhead for flexibility?

Err, I'll try to criticize it the best I can: Wow, your build totally svcks, your character is weak and really, playing as this character is impossible, because it's so bad. You should be ashamed.

Why do you want you build criticized? Do you really care what other people think about your personal game experience? I'm not trying to be rude, I just don't understand why you need other people's opinion on this matter. All you should be doing is asking yourself what you think would be fun/cool. Only you know your ideal play style. I see no reason why you couldn't have an enjoyable playthrough with that build if that is truly the kind of character you want to play.

Well if I were you I would take 5/5 armsman first over axe perks, I mean +40% dmg > bleeds. If you must have lockpicking perks then just beeline to Quick Hands or Treasure Hunter with minimum points used. Also if you want some stealth archer action, you might go all the way to Shadow Warrior BUT imo in that case optimal shadow warrior setup is bow+dual daggers. For armor maybe just use 3 points to get Unhindered to get rid of your armor weight? Lastly, If youre gonna take Extra Pockets then also take Poisoned too for some Dark Brotherhood goodness.

Keep it like that and just finetune it as you play.

I'm planning on playing without any magic at all on my first playthrough =D we can be non-magic buddies.

Perhaps you meant to say "critique" as opposed to criticize?

Because he wants to have a powerful character?

How do you plan to play matters way more than perk lists .
What I'm saying is that is just a list not a build.

If your main focus is melee toe-to-toe combat... you will want to spec heavily in either light or heavy armor.
