Photo help

Post » Thu Jan 06, 2011 1:49 pm

Hiya, I'm trying to upload a photo to a site but no matter what I do to it (which has been limited to resizing in photobucket) the site keeps saying it need to be less than 5mb and at least 100x100 pixel. Can anyone help me out? I'll send you the photo in a PM if it's easier - don't worry, it's not rude or anything; just my face. :P
I know this is probably a ridiculously easy question, but I honestly don't know what I'm doing and this is a new laptop - I could only manage to take the bloody picture by using facebook.

What program are you using to resize the photo? Also what file type are you using for the photo? TGA while great can be one heck of an expensive format which is why it's good to go with .jpg formats. You'll lose some clarity, but it's to be expected. Paint should easily be able to handle that which is pretty standard on any computer.

Just open it up in Gimp or something similar and change the resolution.

Easiest way is to download http://www.irfanview.com/, open up image, press ctrl + r and then set it to 100 x 100. If you would rather not learn you can just send it to me and I will do it for you though.

I'm just using photobucket to resize it, but it doesn't seem to be doing the job. :/ It says it's a .jpg format, and I can't find Paint anywhere.

Click the Start Menu, go to run (or use Search bar) and type: mspaint
