I have a save just before an NPC called Thomas (Tomas?) appears and tells me about his lucky necklace. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so i don't want to leave the dialogue option unchecked, it will REALLY bug me.

I have my speech up to 35 (i thought i had plenty of time to bring it up), but i need it to be at 50 to complete the check. I thought i had a few magazines that covered speech, but looking through my inventory i haven't picked any up yet:(

Are there any fixed locations for speech magazines? None of the traders seem to have any, and leveling up real quick isn't an option, i was just about to enter Nipton after pretty much exploring everything before it (aside from the forbidden zones), and there is no place left to gain XP points.

Take comprehension if you haven't already and find yourself a Meeting People magazine. With the perk, the magazine will temporarily add 20 instead of 10, and you can pass the check with 55 speech instead of only 35

I was after the meeting people magazine, haven't found one yet in this playthrough.

If you are just looking for a quick answer = Mentats + Whiskey + Meeting People.

There is a magazine in the schoolhouse in Goodsprings and the trailer behind the store also.

There's a couple of speech mags in Goodsprings. I think I remember one in the schoolhouse.

But in all honesty you're going to have to lose this mindset soon, because you will NOT be able to pass every skill check like this eventually. Better to shake the habit now.

I don't see how that combination will work.

Increasing your INT and CHA has no effect on Speech skill checks.

I can't, all my RPG playthroughs HAVE to be perfect, or as perfect as i can get.

A simple speech fail will force a restart on my part :sadvaultboy:

CHA is the main stat for Speech.

I actually used that combination last night with my speech at 35.

It is the main stat for it, yes, but increasing your CHA doesn't increase your Speech skill...

The magazine alone is what allowed you to pass the check.

Anyone find Vendors that sell Meeting People? I have seen other mag but not Meeting People
