Still, great preview, at least this guy did something other than the the other previewers.
Makes it more worth to read.

And it's nice for people who haven't read it.
Kudos man. ;)

Me either. Thanks for posting. What I don't get is all these companies or previewers say they got to play only an hoiur of Fallout New Vegas. Does this mean they went to Bethesda to try it out, did they download the preview copy and they only got to play one hour at their home or work office? If so, is this a one time use or can they restart and play again for an hour?

er...any one else concerned about this particular line:

"Swarms of goons – angry escaped skinheads – now dotted the map. Thankfully, even the most basic pistol makes short work of heads in VATS mode"

he walks out at the start of the game, low level, and with the most basic pistol makes short work of "SWARMS of goons"? seems like NV will be the cakewalk that FO3 was and it'll be up to the modders to make things right again.

glad to hear some praise for the graphics. Sounds like the reviewer was pretty impressed. I was a little worried about that department.

i wonder what the female character model looks like. I don't recall seeing any pictures.

Well if you look at it this way

1) Headshots can take down opponents easily if its the right opponent and weapon

2) The convicts (or GOONS as it was strangely stated in that preview) seem just like average joes, around the same standard set by raiders. A good person to ask would be the Garden Knome seeing as he actually played the demo and mentioned fighting the convicts, he could shed some light on that.

3) there's no way to know what difficulty setting for that was, although I highly doubt a demo would be set on Very Hard difficulty.

oh i sincerely hope so. i agree that headshots should take them down easily, but a starter pistol, at low level, against swarms? shouldnt have any business making easy headshots even in vats. in either FWE or ART, you'd get your behind handed to you if you fought raiders straight out of the vault (or whatever alternate start you choose). cant blame me for being a bit paranoid this close to release :P

They go to the trade shows, where gameplay time is alloted for "journalists". They are limited to an hour with the game.

It was most likely set on easy and "swarms of goons" could be lvl 1 guys without much armor. I'm hoping anyways I really want this game to be hard as hell.
