So okay, basically in my mod I made what's essentially a tower with an underground entry, and two balconies on it. I've heard of outdoor navmeshes being a bit harder/more complicated, but my navmesh wouldn't connect to the ground world at all, will this complicate matters? The question is: The navmesh, do I just add navmesh to the balcony doors? The only problem is that companions don't follow me around on the balconies. The other: How do I convert an esm to an esp, and just how much does it help navmeshes? And finally: When I release this mod if I do that conversion, should I release the esp AND esm data or only esm data?
I have a few more navmesh issues to fix, and just one more room to make. For some reason when I redownloaded my mod data (had to reinstall windows for other reasons), the navmesh which was working decently, started getting buggy on me, and I had to slightly alter the navmeshes in most rooms it seems to fix that. The impression I'm getting from multiple google searches, is that conversion to an esm mostly fixes this?
