Try clearing the System Cache like so,

Go to the Xbox Dashboard, select the System Blade, and select Memory.
Highlight the HD symbol and press Y.
Press X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, X.

Or go to system blade, select memory, highlight the HD tab, press Y then pick the "Clear System Cache".

Or clear the game cache (hold X while the game is starting up).

And what might help is to install the game to your HDD.

A system blade is the pages like play game, My Profile, music, video, and system.
So, from play game go all the way to the end, where it says System.
If that doesn't help PM me and I'll look on my Xbox and explain it better.

Simpler way: as the game starts to boot after selecting to play it in dashboard or closing disc tray, hold in the left and right bumper and the X button all at the same time for 30 seconds
