Well i got Ed-E and went to the junk yard but i forgot that i killed her dog for its brain...when i went in she attacked me, so i killed her but now i cant finish the mission with ED-E... like it says to go talk to her still and if i highlight the quest it still gives me the location marker and even when i go in it takes me right to her corpse.... is that a bug or something? or is there something i can do ?

You killed her dog. Now you're paying for it. :shrug: Reload an older save, or do ED-E's jazz on a different playthrough in future.

You don't need her to say the magical word. The word just has to be part of the conversation, but it can be with any NPC.
Try going to the nearby power plant and speak around
