Just finished the Helios quest and when i left the building an NCR member came up to me, thanked me for my help, and gave me an NCR emergency radio. He said if I was ever in trouble to call them and they would be there to help.

I see it listed in my aid items...Does anyone know what this does exactly?? And if i use it once is it gone, one use and it is consumed like other aid items, or can it be used multiple times?

It's not one time use, but it does have a cooldown.

Click it and it gives you three options to choose from.

Yeah every time I try to use it it tells me I'm outside of it's operational range. Even when I was standing in the Middle of the NCR base outside of the Vegas Strip. Bugged? Or do I need to be at one of the outposts? Like the Mojave Outpost? Will the follower follow me outside of it's operational range?

At the Embassy? It probably does not work when you are at a base, as well, you are at a base and the NCR would already be attacking any enemies, for you or in spite of you.

I would think you would need to be within some distance of an existing NCR base, but for sure, not be in an NCR base. Makes sense as are you are basically spawning troops that are in Combat Mode and they might just shoot the wrong folks......

Dude that thing has never worked for me ethier, ive already been through the the things in the game that I would even need it for anyway. It would still be cool if id work

its a good way to get NCR armort, just call them when ur by the death claws. god a hate those things.

You have to be outside (in the wasteland) for it to work.

im in te wasteland and it still doesent work says in not within supprot range or what not, can anyone give a specific example of where it works.

The NCR Rangers must have an AT&T plan.
