When I aim my weapons...

Post » Fri Jan 07, 2011 6:36 pm

Okay, for some reason, whenever I aim down the sights of my weapons, as opposed to what they normally do, that being zooming in a bit as a raise my weapon, my screen does not zoom in at all. It just raises the sights. This happens with every weapon but the Varmint rifle and the 9mm. Well maybe not every weapon, because I don't have every weapon as of yet, but every weapon I have. I'll post some screenshots to give you an idea of what I mean.

Powered Power Armor should be doing that. It's part of the whole "you're not a cyborg, you can't zoom without electronic assistance" aspect. There should be a menu option (default menu key is P) to turn it, and any other PPA option, off.

Unless it's FOOK doing it, in which case I'd check using its menu (key here defaults to O)

OK, I REALLY suggest you start READING the readme.txts of the mods you want to use are changing.

Arwens' Realism mod removes the zooming when using iron sights because it's not realistic,
if you've ever used a gun all you would see when you sighted down the iron sights, is the target the same distance it was,
not zoomed in a little bit.

I thought it was that too, but then I checked and I'd already disabled that option.

Alright alright, simmer down there pal, it was just an innocent question. If answering questions on a board where questions are welcome upsets you, don't answer them. Is there any way to deactivate that feature with Arwen's Mod?

Wasn't getting riled up, was just emphasizing my words by using caps, I should get in the habit of using italics.
I don't know if there is a way to disable the option in Arwens, I don't use the mod, but I do know it adds this feature, because
it was brought up in the official thread, as I was considering using the mod until I read that part about the disabled zooming.
Now, whether there's a menu option to remove or disable it, you'll have to check the readme, because I didn't look
any farther into the mod after that.

Seriously, though, with the number of mods that you've been adding, you're just asking for a variety of unpredictable effects from conflicts. You really need to look at the readmes, since they also have notes on installation and compatibility. Several of your questions can be solved by that.
