Companion passive?

Post » Mon Jan 17, 2011 3:34 pm

Just wondering if anyone is still running into this issue of companion not accepting the passive command. Even with it on, they still rush the enemies, as if their always on aggressive mode. Do i need to start a new game for this to be fixed, or are people still haveing this issue even after patch and new game.

Are you attacking the enemies first? I think all passive does is they won't attack unless you do first (or the enemy has seen you and therefore your companions feel you're in danger). I don't think they're truly passive (like will curl up in a ball or wait to be attacked first). If you feel you're just walking around without any knowledge of enemies and they're running around slaughtering them it may still be an unpatched bug (the patch notes only said companions were looked at, it doesn't say what all about companions was patched).

Thanks for info. I guess i see what ya mean that when your seen, says danger or are going to be in danger, the companion starts to attack without you attacking first. It seems their sort of stuck on aggressive mode.
Not a big problem, just was wondering if i was doing something wrong. Thanks for the help much appreciated.
