*possible spoilers below*


Found the brotherhood of steel entrance in the hidden valley early in the game (rushed lockpicking to 100). In the backroom where the guy who gives you missions theres a set og Brotherhood armor. I can′t use it but Boone wears it. Does he get all the benefits from the armor or is it just cosmetic?

strange i try this and he drops it saying he cant use it, i just wanted him to carry it in his inventory and emptied his inventory too in case it was a weight problem and he still would not

Boone doesn't wear T-51 but does wear T-45 without BOS marking.

I also just wanted him to carry it but he started wearing it. Is it a glitch or does he get all the armor protection from it?

Well they dont really need the perks with it, i noticed the armor dont degrade when they wear it either. Helpers seem immune to most things in game, when i swim the dont need to breathe, in radiation they dont get poisoning, they dont die obviously unless in hardcoe so they are just one way period, no good or bad effects can be placed on them except being crippled which i saw my girl start walking upright 1 minute after she was limping and crippled whining about it. I also noticed when im stealthed they cant be seen either and i think it looks ridiculous when my companions are plain as day squatting by items that are disappearing and the same in combat, just kinda silly i think. Its no glitch either cause i store alot of my stuff on mine and she wears alot of the armor and uses alot of the weapons (ballistic fist being my fav by FAR!!) and i have to be careful not to give grenades.... They love to throw grenades and they dont care if your next to the bad guy or not
