Basically boone disapeared and came back, I went back to every place I had been to (to see if he had got stuck or something) anyways an ingame day later he turns up and starts talking to me about some guy called norton asking if we can attack, I said no not yet (cos I was in the middle of something at the time).

Anyway I take it that was suppose to happen? It messed my head when he disapeared as he's my fav companion.

P.S. Because I have boone as a companion all my enemys are like a glowing red (the perk he gives you) Can I turn that off and still have boone following me?

He's not supposed to disappear. Sounds like he fell behind and just took a while to catch back to you. You fast travelling made it harder, since fast travel is faster than companions that are seperated from you.

Returning Lost Companions (PC) EditPush the Tilde key and then type in.

The Ref id's for companions are listed on their respective pages.

You can use player.moveto (instead of both commands stated above) too - if you want to know where you lost your companion. Be sure to make a new save before using any Console Commands.

I thought he may have got stuck but when he caught me up an ingame day later he automatically started talking to me about making an attack on norton and his gang. I had the option to agree with boone and setup and attack or the option to wait for a better opportunity. I dont think he went missing or got stuck, It seems he went off on his own to see if it was a good time to kill norton. Would this be to do with his wife being killed?

There is no Norton. It is Nelson. It's a town the legion have captured. He won't and can't do it without you.

Ah yes nelson. Ok just wanted to make sure that was suppose to happen.
