I've been reading the Vault wiki, and it says http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Rose_of_Sharon_Cassidy is http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/John_Cassidy daughter. I haven't seen any dev confirmation of this (please, if there was an interview or whatever that said so, post a link! ), but if it is true, who's Cass's mother? Some lucky lady at the Cat's Paw brothel, the (female) Chosen One, or even http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Miria?

Cass appears to have been born three years after Fallout 2 begins (the wiki states her year of birth as 2244, and Fallout 2 can take up until the year 2254), so is it possible that she was not only born either around the Chosen One or because of the Chosen One? Maybe she even grew up around him/her?

What are the odds that Cass has a couple of stories to tell about the Chosen One (just like how Wall-E ED-E might have a thing or two to say about the Lone Wanderer)?

Like was stated in the original post, it still has not been confirmed that she is in fact John Cassidy's daughter but it is a reasonable assumption. As for her mother, no one can say at this point. All we can do is guess. I find it unlikely that she would be the daughter of The Chosen One, if TCO was in fact canonically female. I don't know if TCO's gender has ever been canonically established. Even if TCO is canonically female, I find that scenario unlikely, yet not impossible. Would be a cool way to tie into Fallout 1 and 2 tho.

If I had to guess, I'd say Cass is the daughter of a Cat's Paw hoker. The hoker didn't want her so John took her and raised her as best he could until he died. Probably before she became a teen.

I wouldn't be too surprised if she's Cassidy's granddaughter, really. John Cassidy was something around 60 years old as of Fallout 2 (he was apparently first shot in 2195, which is 46 years prior to Fallout 2), so it wouldn't be out of line for him to have had at least one kid prior to his adventures with the Chosen One. Her being adopted or the consequence of a visit to the Cat's Paw aren't totally out of line, either, of course.

That said, more seriously, Mrs Bishop is in the right age group....

The granddaughter thing actually makes a bit more sense, though I'm still hoping for a continuation of the Vault Dweller's lineage.

My conclusions from Chris Avellones statements, that he's writing a character whose father he's written before still stand. So we'll get the direct continuation of the Vault Dweller's companions legacy. Would be nice for a change if the Chosen One were assumed to be female and reasonably old enough to, well, get along that fine with Cassidy. ^_^

I wonder if she'll have anything to say about Marcus?

Cass being the daughter of the Chosen One and Cassidy would be rather... interesting. Regardless, I assume that we will get some good info on post-FO2 Chosen One whether it be from NCR, Marcus, or someone else.
